Mossstar leaped up to the tree. "It is time for a warrior ceremony. Shadowpaw, step forward." He took a step.
"Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend your Clanmates, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Shadowpaw said. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Shadowpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Shadowstrike. StarClan honors your strength and sneakiness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of AirClan." Mosstar bent down to touch the young cat's head as Shadowstrike licked her shoulder. The Clan chanted his name.
"Darkenedpaw, step forward." The black tom did.
"Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend your Clanmates, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Darkenedpaw said. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Darkenedpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Darkenedshadow. StarClan honors your swiftness and knidness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of AirClan." Darkenedshadow licked his leader's shoulder as she placed her chin on his head. The Clan cheered his new name.
"Freezepaw, step forward." The small ginger she-cat stepped toward her leader.
"Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend your Clanmates, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Freezepaw said. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Freezepaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Freezeheart. StarClan honors your smartness and beauty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of AirClan." Mossstar smiled as Freezeheart blushed. She put her chin on the young cat's head as she licked her shoulder. The Clan chanted her name.
"Shadowstrike! Darkenedshadow! Freezeheart! Shadowstrike! Darkenedshadow! Freezeheart!Shadowstrike! Darkenedshadow! Freezeheart!" The Clan chanted. They walked to their dens, leaving the new warriors in the growing darkness.
